It's beginning to look at lot like Christmas

Bill and I put up the Christmas tree and some decorations the Sunday after Thanksgiving.  The Christmas specials were playing on the television and everyone was in a happy holiday mood!  Nolan helped decorate some too, but mostly made a mess of the living room.  Carter hung out in his swing.

Finally after the branches were organized, Bill started to assemble the tree.  Nolan was bored with the whole idea by this time and was watching the Christmas specials on the television instead.

The lights and branches were assembled and we finally had a tree.  Now it was time to bring out the ornaments.  Of course, Nolan dumped the entire container out.  Thank goodness they're plastic.  Stella wanted to help too.

The tree looked beautiful, but was missing one thing.....the star!!

 Nolan placed the star on the tree and made it complete.  We have a beautiful Christmas tree!!

So far only one ornament has been destroyed.  Somehow it was knocked onto the ground and Stella chewed it to shreds.  I believe Nolan took the "ball" off of the tree to throw for Stella to fetch.  Neither one will confess! :)  Nolan has been good about staying away from the "hot" tree.  As soon as we turn on the lights, he says "hot" and leaves it alone.

The neighbors put christmas lights on their house and every time we drive home and their lights are on Nolan says, "Oh, pretty lights!!"  Hopefully Bill will have a chance to put some lights on our house, but if not this year definitely next year.
