When we arrived at the library the line to see Santa was pretty long, so I took Nolan to color first. Nolan loved using his red and green colors. Since those are his favorite colors I think he's going to be a fan of Christmas. Carter hung out in his stroller, while daddy snapped pictures of Nolan and I coloring.
The line to see Santa started to shrink, so we finished coloring and jumped in line. Bill and I were prepping Nolan on Santa and asking him what he was going to say to Santa. All we got out of Nolan was, "Santa" "Choo Choo Train." Good enough, I think Santa could figure out what he was saying.
Nolan started to become a little apprehensive at this point, but Carter was super excited to meet Santa for the first time!!
Mama, save me!
Whew... that was rough, but Nolan received a candy cane from Mrs. Claus and he was good to go. A little bribery goes a long way. Nolan and Carter barely survived Santa's lap, so we decided it was time for a sugar cookie and some ice cream.
I helped Nolan spread the icing onto his cookie and he chose the green sprinkles to put on his cookie. Annie's supplied a generous scoop of ice cream to eat with the sugar cookie. Mommy and daddy each had a sample and we agreed it was delicious! Carter is still too young to sample any goodies, so he hung out on daddy's lap.
After Nolan finished eating, he and Bill went over to make a beautiful bracelet. Nolan finished the pretty bracelet and gave it to me for a gift! While daddy and Nolan worked on the bracelet, I snuck off to feed Carter. Once Carter had a full belly, he was ready for a nap.
And a nap he took, in Santa's arms!! I wanted to attempt a family picture before we left. It turned out pretty good, but Mrs. Claus did have to bribe Nolan with another candy cane. It's a good thing she had an unlimited supply with her.
We survived another round on Santa's lap. Until next year....
