TWL 2015 Holiday Program

Thursday December 17th, Nolan and Carter partook in the annual TWL Holiday Program.  This years particular program was bittersweet because it marked Nolan's last Holiday Program at TWL, but Carter's first Holiday Program.  The boy were dressed and ready to go, so I snapped a couple of pictures before leaving.
Carter was super excited for his program! All week both Nolan and Carter had been singing their Christmas songs nonstop at home.  I was nervous, because I know how extremely shy Carter is and this is his first time being in front of a crowd.  We arrived at the program a little early to reserve seats.  Carter immediately would not let go of Bill.  The teachers came to gather the students and take them back into the hallway, Bill had to carry Carter back.

Meanwhile, Blake was having a good time hamming it up with the people sitting around us.
It was time for the program to start, Carter's preschool class was the first to perform.  Carter barely walked through the doors before he saw the crowd staring at him.  He stopped mid-stride and grabbed ahold of Ms. Cassandra and would not let go of her.  Ms. Cassandra walked Carter up to the stage, pried him off her leg, and sat him in his chair.  The entire performance Carter sat slumped over in his chair with a scowl on his face or a finger in his mouth.

I think Carter's first program went pretty well, actually.  I was shocked Carter stayed up on the stage by himself the entire time and didn't cry!
Whew!  After Carter's class finished their portion of the program, he was all smiles when escorted back to his seat and able to sit down with our family.  I love this picture of Blake photobombing Carter! haha
Now it was Nolan's Pre-K class' turn to perform.  Nolan did great of course, he knew all of the songs by heart.  Nolan didn't express a lot of emotion when singing though, but he is shy as well.  He even had his own solo, the bell ringer!!  Nobody mentioned to Bill or myself he had a special part in the program, to ring the bell during a poem.  I was so proud of him!  Ms. Carrie said, the bell ringer was a key part and she knew Nolan would be the best for the job!
Nolan and Carter had quite the audience to cheer them on.  Boppi, Memaw and Bekah came to watch Nolan and Carter perform.  Along with Nana, Papa, Aunt KK, and Jimmy!
 My boys!! So handsome
