Touch-A-Truck 2015

This past Saturday we went to Touch-A-Truck at the Edwardsville Township Park.  The event was a such a success last year, the event planners went above and beyond for this year's event.  There were double the vehicles, food trucks, FREE carnival activities and even an Arch helicopter!!  The boys had a lot of fun.

The boys looked at a few trucks, but were wanting to go to the carnival activities.  Too many other kids were walking around with balloon animals and face paintings.  I held the boys' spots in line for face painting, while Bill kept Nolan and Carter occupied with the other carnival activities.  Nolan and Carter each chose a sword for their balloon.  Nolan went and swung a hammer to show his strength, while Carter watched.
While waiting in line for the face painting, a lady came over the speakers and asked everyone to clear the area because the Arch helicopter was called out to an emergency and needed to leave immediately!!  We were able to witness the helicopter take off, it was really neat!

Finally, it was Nolan and Carter's turn for their faces to be painted.  Carter said he wanted a tiger and Nolan wanted a ghost.  Nolan jumped right up into the chair and did great!  Carter became too shy and ended up choosing not to have his face painted.

Nolan was satisfied with his ghost, so both he and Carter were ready to check out the other trucks.  The boys actually climbed into all of the other trucks and pretended to be driving.

Nolan and Carter had fun taking turns on the swing hung from the T-bar of the tow truck.

There was an old Mack semi and refrigeration trailer that was really neat!  It was in great shape and Carter really had fun "driving" the old truck.

Onto the Grand Rental section of the event.  Nolan and Carter thought we should buy a mower like these to use at the house.  Blake was doing so well at the event we almost forgot to take him out of the stroller and let him partake in the fun.  Towards the end of the morning we took Blake out of the stroller and let him have some fun of his own.  Boy did Blakey think he was a big boy!!!

We ended our morning with the fire engine!!  The boys had a lot of fun at Touch-A-Truck this year and took home lots of souvenirs.

The typical picture of all of my guys!  Carter refusing to get into the photo, Nolan looking down, Blake looking somewhere else, and Bill smiling at the camera!!
