Nolan's 6 Month Check up!

Today was Nolan's 6 Month Check Up with the pediatrician.  Nollie weighed in at 18 pounds 1.5 ounces and measured 27 and 1/4 inches long.  Nolan is 65th percentile for his weight and 55th percentile for his height.  Our little boy is growing up.  I cannot believe he is half a year old!

Nolan has started rolling all over the place.  If I place him in the living room on the floor and leave for a minute, when I come back Nolan has rolled himself all the way to the other side of the room.  One day I watched him do this and it was hilarious.  He just rolls back to belly, back to belly, until he reaches an object and can no longer roll.  Nolan doesn't have any teeth yet, but Dr. Hulsen said it will be soon because she can feel the teeth under his gums. Nolan is starting to sit up all alone, chew on his feet, blow raspberries, and develop an even bigger personality.

Since Nolan is developing so much, he also decided to develop a gag reflex as well!!  This poor child.  Anytime we stick baby food in his mouth it makes him gag, no matter what the flavor.  The pediatrician said this is normal for a baby his age, and it should pass within a month.  We have to keep introducing baby food, so he can learn to control his tongue and gag reflex.  Fingers crossed he grows out of this!!  All I could think about when the pediatrician was explaining the gag reflex to me, was how hard its going to be to try and take xrays on Nolan when he comes in for his dental exam!  It's a pain to try and take xrays on a patient with a gag reflex.

The Tweety band-aids make yet another appearance on Nolan's left thigh.

Nolan did a great job with his vaccinations this time around.  He only cried for about 20 seconds after the shots were given and then he was over it.  We ran a few errands, came home and Nolan ate, then he fell into his trance watching a movie.  A few of Nolan's favorite movies are as follows:  Finding Nemo, Toy Story 2 and 3, Open Season 2.  I had to snap a few pictures of Nolan while he was in his "trance."

Mom, seriously, what do you want?!?
Happy Bubba!!

My little booba is growing up so fast!! These past 6 months have been such a blessing on our lives.  We love you Pooter!!
