Saturday, Bill, Bopie, and Uncle Joe, went to Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill, Kentucky. Shaker Village is a historic Shaker community in central Kentucky. While there, the guys went on a Riverboat ride on the Kentucky River. Bill went into a craft store while waiting to go on the Riverboat Ride and bought Nolan and I some goodies.
Daddy kept Nolan and I updated with pictures while he was away on his trip. Here is Bill on the Kentucky Lake Riverboat Ride.
Bill bought Nolan a handcrafted wooden rattle. Poot LOVES it, except he doesn't shake it like a rattle, he chews on it like a chew toy!! The way Nolan was chewing on the rattle, one would have thought it was a piece of steak. I was worried the wood was covered in a polyurethane finish, but a piece of paper in the box states, the wood is covered with a safe oil finish. I wanted to make sure it didn't taste chemically, so i chewed on the rattle as well. It tasted like wood and nothing else!! Bill thought I was crazy for chewing on the rattle! Bill brought me a beautiful handmade vase. It will definitely be used in the future whenever Nolan brings me dandelions. :)
Get it!!
My pretty vase and the box Poot's rattle came in!!
Thank you so much Daddy. We love our gifts, but love having you back home even MORE!!
