While at Eckert's, Nolan was able to pet a bunny and baby chicks, take a wagon ride, meet a lamb, take his picture with the Easter Bunny, and find easter eggs during the egg hunt. Nolan did great with the baby chicks, I think because he is used to being around them at Nana and Papa's house. He wasn't afraid of the bunnies either. Nolan kept trying to climb in the troughs to play with the animals.
Almost got one......
"What's that?"
Right after I took this picture, Nolan tried to rip the pelt right off of this poor bunny. He grabbed a fist full of hair and yanked. Luckily, Bill caught him and put the bunny back safely and with no hair missing.
Nolan buried the ole Massey!
Poot was NOT a fan of the lamb. The guy held the lamb up and it baa'ed right into Nolan's face. He held onto Bill for dear life, but didn't cry.
Onto the Easter Egg Hunt...
Patiently awaiting the announcer to finish his count down so the kiddos could head out....
and we're off...
Nolan's Very First Easter Egg Find!
Poot is so proud of his find!!
WOW!
Madison, Grant, and Nolan
Nolan's meltdown. He didn't want to look for more eggs. He wanted to play with the ones he already had.
The goodies were not age appropriate for the little kids. The eggs contained small erasers, coins, and rings. I had to go through all of the eggs and remove the goodies, but Nolan didn't mind. He liked opening and closing the eggs.
After the egg hunt, we made our way down to the store to meet the Easter Bunny. Nolan was not liking the bunny at all. It was so hot outside and he was waring down.
All of the adults and kids were red faced and hot, so we went inside and rested in the A/C. The kids were able to put icing and sprinkles on a cookie for a snack. The rosy red cheeks started to subside, so we decided to head back out and take a wagon ride. On the way out, I wanted to have a picture of Nolan taken with the Easter bunny one more time. He did great this time!!
I wish we could have taken a picture with our camera, because the quality isn't the greatest with the store's camera. Oh well, it is still a cute picture!!
Onto the Wagon Ride.....
The Extravaganza was coming to a close and we decided to say goodbye to the bunnies.
I figured Nolan would be exhausted because of the heat and activities. We said our goodbye's and loaded into the car. I gave Nolan his sunglasses to entertain him while we were driving. He became really quiet about ten minutes later and I looked back to see him like this.
SO MUCH EASTER EGG-CITEMENT AT ECKERT'S!! What a fun and memorable day. Poot had a great time, as well as Bill and I.
