Nolan is now officially mobile. He started to crawl a few more steps Saturday night at The Keller's house. On Sunday, Nolan was sitting in the living room and decided to follow Bill into the kitchen. The looks on our faces were priceless. We couldn't believe how he took off in only a couple of days. Nolan would become so excited when he was crawling, he would start to crawl backwards and then forwards again. It was so cute!! After much observation, I finally figured out what Nolan reminded me of when he was crawling. The Old Christmas Specials on ABC Family, with the little figurines that move really stiff.
Nolan is into EVERYTHING!! It is crazy, in the time span of two days how much stuff has had to be moved around, hidden, or blocked off. Nolan is fascinated with trying to go behind the entertainment center.....
Along with learning to crawl, Nolan has yet another ear infection. He awoke Sunday afternoon from his nap, crying and breathing weird again. Bill and I figured right away it was most likely his ears. Luckily, we had some ear numbing drops and Ibuprofen left over to give to Nolan to relieve the pain. Almost ten minutes after we administered the pain medication, Nolan was back to his bubbly self.
We went to Anderson Express Care this time, so we didn't have another ER copay. Nolan found the paper on the doctor's table amusing and kept playing with it. He did so good in the room. We waited for over an hour to be seen. At least, we were given a diagnosis and medicine to help Nolan feel better. The wait was worth it to find out what was wrong with my little Pooter! Once the doctor took a look into Nolan's right ear, she diagnosed his ear with having fluid in it and being a little red. We caught it early this time though!! Nolan hasn't had to take any Ibuprofen and only a few numbing drops since Sunday night. It hasn't inhibited his crawling at all.
I'm beginning to worry his helmet might be causing his ear infections. It seems ever since Nolan started to wear his helmet the ear infections have started. At Nolan's next adjustment appointment I'm going to talk to Dr. Barry, Nolan's chiropractor, to see if the helmet has misaligned his spine which can in turn cause ear infections. Hopefully, we will be able to find a cure for the ear infections which doesn't involve the dreaded placement of tubes in the ear.
