From shag to swag!

Blake had his first haircut on December 9th and his second haircut on January 14th.  I wanted to let his hair grow to see how it looked longer.  Well everyone kept calling him a girl, so tonight it was time to have another haircut.  Since the other boys were having their hair trimmed, I had Blake join in on the fun.  The hairdresser couldn't believe she was cutting a soon to be 5 month olds hair!!  She did a great job and so did Blake.

This is the first time I was able to take pictures of Blake while he was having his hair cut.  Before, Nana cut Blake's hair while I was at work.

All four boys with their shagginess......

Blake sat on daddy's lap so I could take pictures and manage Nolan and Carter.  Blake was really relaxed, but Bill had to put him in a death grip because the hairdresser was so nervous!  All three made a great team and Blake left looking spiffy in the end.

Carter and Blake were receiving haircuts, while Nolan waited patiently!

Blake's 4 Month Well Visit

Finally, today Blake was able to have his well visit completed.  After 10 days of antibiotics, double ear infection and bronchitis are gone.  Thank God, it was a rough few weeks, but our happy baby his back to himself.  Blake weighed in at 14lbs 9.5oz, which places him in the 50th percentile for weight.  Blake measured 24 inches long, which places him in the 45th percentile for his height.  I'm so happy my little peanut is finally growing!

Blake has really started showing his personality since my last post at the beginning of the month.  He is always smiling, laughing, and loves being the center of attention.  I love waking up to this smiling face every morning before the chaos of the day starts.

Blake has taken a few naps in his crib, but I still have not allowed him to sleep in his crib overnight.  A video monitor has been ordered, and once it has been placed in his room I will feel more comfortable allowing Blake to sleep in his crib.  Here a few pictures from Blake's midday nap on February 7th.

Little B has the funniest facial expressions!  I love it.
"Say What"
"I will take over the world"

Our life as a family of five is finally starting to settle down and take a routine!  I'm sure once the routine is established something will throw a wrench into the pile, but hey that's life.  I love my three baby boys and wouldn't change the craziness for the world!!

Happy 50th Birthday Nana!

On January 31, my momma turned 50!  Of course, a surprise party had to be held to honor this milestone.  With lots of planning and help from great friends and family, we were able to pull of an amazing party!  I chose a few family photos that I really liked, which were taken in the photo booth at the party.  Over 70 people came to the party to help my mom celebrate the big 5-0!!

My mom is an amazing person and a true best friend of mine.  I couldn't ask for a more genuine person to be my mom or nana to my boys.  Nana truly is loved by so many people!  Happy 50th momma.  I love you!

Blake is 4 Months Old!

"My Bakey" as Carter calls him is now four months old.  Wowzer!  Blake's well visit is at the end of the month, so I wanted to go ahead and post his pictures we took today.  As I was editing his pictures I couldn't help but admire how beautiful Blake is.  I know he is my own, but he sure is adorable!!

Blake is an extremely happy baby!  If Blake isn't smiling he is either sleeping or blowing bubbles, which is his newest discovery.  Blake has been taking his bottles well and nursing great too.  Blake really enjoys tummy time, playing under his play gym, and watching his silly brothers run around.

Lately Blake has been chewing on his hands, so I'm sure teeth are on their way.  Blake is extremely ticklish too.  When I remove any article of clothing or even his diaper he laughs and shrieks with delight.

Since Valentine's Day is drawing near I decided to go ahead and take pictures of Blake in his "My First Valentine's Day" outfit.  What a doll!!  Towards the end of the photo shoot Blake became bored and started blowing bubbles. haha

After Blake has his well visit I'll post his stats, but for now you can enjoy his adorable pictures!!

Blake is 3 Months Old

I cannot believe Blakester is 3 months old already.  Blake's cute personality is really starting to shine through.  Blake loves to smile and talk to people, especially mommy!  If Blake is really excited he will let out a squeal and some giggles!  I weighed and measured Blake at home since he doesn't have a well visit until he is 4 months old.  Blake weighed in at 13 pounds and measured 22 inches long.  Blake is quite the wiggle worm, so I'm not sure how accurate either of these measurements are.

Of course, we had to take some pictures with Blake and his big brothers.  Carter likes the camera a little more than Nolan.

My precious blue eyed boy!

Merry Christmas 2014

We celebrated Christmas several times this year, which was nice.  Everyone was able to enjoy the low-key Christmas with the boys and we weren't running from place to place all in one day.  Joe came over the night before he went back to Chicago to open presents.

Christmas Eve, the boys and I traveled to Memaw and Boppy's house to open presents.  The boys had a lot of fun playing with Bekah.  Boppy made a delicious dinner too.  The kiddos were too active to take pictures, but I was able have the boys sit for a Purcell guys picture.

Christmas Eve night marked the beginning of a new family tradition.  Bill and I decided to start a movie night box.  The present consisted of new pajamas for the entire family, popcorn, a movie, hot chocolate, and candy.  The boys looked adorable in their matching jam-jams!  The movie we watched was "How to Train Your Dragon 2."  After the movie ended, everyone settled in for a long winter's nap, in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would appear.

Christmas morning arrived not a moment too soon, Nolan and Carter couldn't wait to go downstairs and see what Santa had left them.  The boys must have been pretty good this year, because Santa left them lots of goodies.  The boys played with their new toys for a couple of hours then we showered and headed up to G.G. and Grandpa Tub's house for Christmas lunch and more presents.

Everyone devoured the delicious lunch and desserts prepared!!  The boys were super excited to open more gifts.  Carter and Nolan loved showing off their gifts and playing with their relatives.  Blake slept almost the entire 4 hours we were at the Chesser's.  Luckily, Blake woke up for a picture.

Since everyone was home for the holidays it was a perfect opportunity to take pictures!

It was past naptime for Carter and Nolan, so we left Chesser's and headed to Papa and Nana's to take naps before going to Young's Christmas in the afternoon.  The naps were refreshing and the boys were ready to go for round two.  Poppy and Meme have lots of great grandkids, so the boys had a lot of fun chasing their cousins around the house.  Hence the reason for not very pictures.  The kiddos were way too active to get pictures.  Another delicious dinner was eaten and more desserts devoured.

Whew, after a long day which consisted of two Christmas' we were ready for bed.  The next day was Christmas with Papa and Nana.  The boys were once again showered with gifts, a yummy breakfast, and a beautiful day to play outside on the farm with Papa and daddy.

Bill received the "step and go" stool from Aunt KK and Jimmy! He was super excited and his colon has never felt emptier.  haha

December 27th was our last Christmas celebration at the Funderburk's with Grandma Donna.  Grandpa Rick was secluded in the basement because he wasn't feeling well.  The boys had a lot of fun playing with their presents and having a tea party.  Donna made a yummy shepherds pie for lunch.  Blake started to become crabby and everyone was ready to be home at last, so we packed up and ventured back to Edwardsville.

This is the first Christmas with everyone being healthy and able to celebrate to the fullest!!  The boys are truly blessed to have such loving family in their lives.  Thank you to everyone who helped make their Christmas extra special!!
