Baby P #3

Well it has been awhile since I announced my pregnancy with our 3rd baby!  I have been completely exhausted and not feeling well.  What is new?  I feel like this every pregnancy.  It's crazy how the body/mind make you forget how horrible the whole experience is.  On the positive side, I have much more energy to make blog posts.  I am now showing as well, so belly bump pictures are being taken too.  I wanted to continue the tradition of having the older sibling sit in during the monthly pictures.  Nolan was cooperative at first, Carter was not!

I had my last prenatal appointment with Dr. Hulsen on April 11th.  The baby's heart rate was 160bmp.  The baby and my body are developing right on pace to be at 16 weeks.  I have been throwing up since I entered the 2nd trimester, which I thought was supposed to stop?  I have my next prenatal appointment May 12th and my ultrasound will take place then too.  NO we are not going to find out the gender this time either!!

Nolan is 3 years 3 months old and Carter is 19 months old

Nice Dye Job!

All day Saturday Nolan asked to dye Easter eggs.  After everything was finished around the house, Nolan finally received his wish.  I put Carter in his playpen so Nolan could color his eggs in peace.  Nolan is very particular and I wanted him to have a good time dying his eggs, without Carter destroying everything.  Nolan wanted me to draw a bunny on one egg and his name with the year on a different egg.  I purchased an "egg tie-dye machine" from Target.  Let's just say it was on sale for a reason!  What a piece of junk.  Oh well, Nolan had fun using it.

Finally, Carter was set free from his cage and it was his turn to dive into the dye.  Carter was so funny to watch.  He was in deep concentration and kept dipping his eggs in and out of the dye.  All of Carter's eggs looked like rotten eggs, but that's okay because he had a lot of fun!  Nolan helped Carter with his eggs too.

A video of the boys dying their eggs!

The finished eggs!!  Carter only broke one egg in half and cracked 2 other eggs!

Happy Easter 2014

This morning the boys awoke early as usual and were excited to see what the Easter Bunny had brought them.  Nolan was very excited to see a soccer goal and his buddy Bob waiting downstairs at Papa and Nana's.  Carter jumped with excitement when he saw his t-ball, bat, and ball.  Of course there was a ton of candy handed out as well.

It was a little chilly out this morning, but that wasn't going to stop the boys from finding the eggs the Easter Bunny left for them.

Nolan asked for a piece of chocolate as soon as he was back inside the house.  This child is a chocoholic just like his momma!

The rest of the family arrived around noon at Papa and Nana's for a delicious Easter lunch.  All of the kiddos devoured their food, so they could hunt eggs once more.  Carter wasn't as interested in the egg hunt the second time around.  Carter found about three eggs and then jumped on the Kubota wanting to "go bye bye".  Nolan had fun running around with the older cousins finding eggs.

Happy Easter 2014!

The Cheetahs!

Nolan played in his first soccer game this morning!  Nolan plays on the Cheetah team and their team color is orange.  This morning we had to arrive at the fields a little early to register and receive his team shirt.  Nolan met his coach, Coach Dan and received two Easter eggs filled with candy.  Nolan was super pumped to finally wear his soccer spikes, he has wanted to wear them to school for the past few weeks.  After daddy, Uncle Joe, and Carter settled into their seats, Nolan and I started to practice a little on the field.  Of course, Carter wanted to join in on the fun too.  I snapped a few pictures of Nolan, Carter, and Bill playing around on the field.

After the entire team showed up, Coach Dan rounded everyone up to start practice.  Practice included warm-ups and being silly.  Nolan was really shy at first and didn't want to go out onto the field by himself.  Papa and Nana showed up just in time for warm-ups.  Nolan started to warm up with the other kiddos and felt better knowing Papa and Nana were watching him.  Shortly after Boppy, Memaw, and Bekah showed up to cheer Nolan on as well.  The Happy Feet coaches call the soccer ball "Bob".  It was cute to see the kiddos "stop bob", "tap bob", etc.

Warm up and practice ended, so the kids grabbed a quick drink and were back on the field for game time.

"Go Cheetahs!!"

Nolan was timid at first and didn't try to get the ball.  The opposing team, the Zebras, scored against us and the ball was ours.  Coach Dan gave Nolan the ball and he got the hang of dribbling and he had the drive to score a goal!  And score Nolan did!! Everyone shouted and cheered for Nolan.

Nolan was so proud of himself after he scored the goal, he ran back to the other end looking at his shoes and almost ran into his goal net! haha

Whew it started to get warm, thank goodness it was half time and the kids could grab a drink.  Papa wanted to talk strategy with Nolan during down time.  Really Papa, he's 3!

After the second half all the kids were given a popsicle and a stamp.  Nolan loved them both!  What a great time Nolan had and I could tell the game really helped to build his confidence.

Good job Cheetahs and to my handsome little guy, Nolan!!
