Bibs and Ties, Oh My!!

Since the weather was really nice earlier this week, I put Nolan in his short bibs!!  Nolan really enjoyed looking like a farmer in his bibs!  I had to take a few snap shots before dropping him off at the babysitter's.

Tuesday night, Nolan slept in his crib for the first time.  It was really hard for mommy, but Nolan did great!!  I had the monitor turned up so loud it picked up the neighbor's dog barking, the clock tick tocking, and Nolan's every breathe!!  I had to get up numerous times to check on my little man.  I think I wore Bill out because I kept waking up and getting out of bed to check on Nolan.

Nolan fell asleep and slept the whole night.  I guess I didn't realize how bunched up he was sleeping in his Sleep and Rocker because when I laid him in his crib he slept with his legs bunched up for the first ten minutes.  After ten minutes, he had is legs spread out and his hands up above his head.  I think Nollie liked all of the extra room to sleep.

Of course, I had to take pictures of his first night sleeping in his crib!!

Nolan had his 3 month pictures today!! We went to Faller Photography and had them taken.  I ordered the tie shirt and beanie from Etsy, a great website!!  Nolan did great this time around with is pictures  He laughed, smiled, and talked the entire time the pictures were taken.  I think he is getting used to having his picture taken.......  We go back next Friday to view the pictures after they have been edited.  I went ahead and took some pictures of Nollie in his shirt and beanie after the photo session.  I couldn't wait to show off his outfit!!

A Day of Firsts!!

Nolan is 3 months old today!! I cannot believe 3 months ago I gave birth to this beautiful little boy.  It seems like just yesterday.....We have loved the journey as a family so far and cannot wait to see where this journey leads us!! Since Nolan doesn't have a 3 Month Check-Up we weighed and measured Nolan at home.  He weighed 13lbs 4oz and was still 24in long.  We don't really know how accurate those numbers are, but they are better than nothing.

Nolan wore his FIRST baseball hat today.  It was so sunny out, but I couldn't find any sunglasses small enough to fit Nolan, so I decided to put a hat on him.  The first one is an Old Navy one, but it was a little too snug.  When we got to Nana's house, she had a Cardinals hat, so we put that one on Nolan to match Daddy!  I must say Nolan is just like his Daddy, he looks REAL good in a baseball hat!!

Ready to make the trip to Papa T and Nana's!!
 TWINS

Today is officially the FIRST day of Spring!! Yay!! It seems that everyone has spring fever.  Bill and I took Nolan to Nana and Papa T's today and the whole family was outside working.  It was a little too windy for little Nolan to be outside for too long, but somehow Papa T and Daddy managed to give Nolan his FIRST ride on the Kubota.  Nana and I bundled Nolan up and sent him on a ride with Papa T and Daddy.  Nolan loved it.  Bill said he fell asleep.  When Papa T and Daddy brought Nolan back to check in with me, they tried to take him up to the shed to hang out with the guys.  I had to put my foot down on that one.  Nollie isn't quite old enough for that yet.

 Bundled Up

 Reverse

 Away they Go.....

Bill really had spring fever.  He was outside with Papa T all day working on the farm.  Papa T made a nice spot for the garden.  Papa T was a little overzealous with the size of the garden this year.......  Since Nolan is now in the family, he said we had to add a few more rows to feed him!

Nolan's First St. Patrick's Day!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all!!  Nolan is of Irish descent thanks to Great Grandma and Grandpa Chesser, who are currently in Ireland for St. Patrick's Day!!  Great Grandma Jane has always been proud of  being Irish descent.  When visiting the Chesser's house there is always a shamrock out and the house is really decorated in March!!

Great Grandma and Grandpa Chesser surprised Nolan with an adorable "KISS ME I'M IRISH" outfit.  Here are a few pictures of Nolan in his outfit.  Thanks Great Gma and Gpa Chesser! Hope you are having fun in Ireland. I Love You!

A Fun and Relaxing Weekend.....

Nolan loves to sit up.  Whether it is on your lap, in his Bumbo, or in his Baby Einstein Discovery Center.  He likes to see what is going on.  When I try to lay him on his back he is constantly trying to pull himself up the entire time.  He is going to have abs of steel if he keeps up the crunches! When sitting up he likes to watch TV or just hang out talking to mommy or daddy.  Friday, Nolan was talking and laughing up a storm while sitting on my lap.  Bill snapped a few shots with the camera.

BATH TIME!! We haven't had a bath picture in a while, so I decided to get a few pictures.  Bill was the on call camera man all weekend. :)  Bill was working on his thesis in the basement and anytime a picture opportunity arose I would holler downstairs to him and Bill would run upstairs to take a few pictures and run back down to the basement to work on his thesis.  What a great DADDY!!

Nolan also loves to be read to.  Aunt Kelby read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom! to Nolan and he really enjoyed it.  He gets into the bright colors and animated voice of the reader.

Big Boy Jammies

Nolan wore his first pair of "big boy" pajamas!!  They are a pant and shirt set instead of the sleepers.  Bill prefers the sleeper pajamas because they're easier to change Nolan's diaper, but these are too adorable.  I bought them at Old Navy, of course.  They're size 3-6 months, but they fit him perfectly.

Our little man is growing up so quickly.  He is controlling his head really well during tummy time and we even sat him in his Bumbo for a little while.  Nolan has discovered his hands and loves to look at them, chew on them, and swat at his toys with them.  One of Nolan's favorite things is for Bill and I to lean over him and talk to him.  Nolan talks back and laughed out loud for us the other night right before bed.  It was an amazing feeling!!  Nolan is the happiest little boy, always smiling and cooing at us.  It truly melts our hearts to see his smile and to know how happy he is.  Nolan loves sitting upright and looking at things.  He has become so animated in his reactions.  He has even started enjoying the Disney Jr. Channel.  When Mickey Mouse Clubhouse comes on the TV, he becomes excited and starts kicking and flaying his arms around like a madman.

I have started to read some of my favorite books to Nolan.  I went into Borders and spent almost an hour  looking at all of the children's books and reminiscing about the books I used to love to read.  One of my favorites is Chicka Chicka Boom Boom!.  I really enjoy the books by Eric Carle too.  Hopefully, Nolan will learn to enjoy reading as much as Bill and I have.
